Welcome to our 11th season
Forte proudly made it to the semi-finals in the CBC's Choral 2008. We plan to be in the CBC's next Choral Competition.
Plans are underway for a tour of Steam Heat and Queerly Beloved this summer. A Toronto performance will be announced later.
October 25, Forte will be in Buffalo helping celebrate Westminster Presbyterian's 25th Anniversary as an affirming Church.
Our fall concert at Metropolitan United Church, Nov. 29, "Midnight Clear", a World Aids Day program.
Get involved
We enjoy entertaining and getting our message of acceptance and understanding
across, but we need the support of people like you: join the audience, sponsor, volunteer.
Ticket sales barely cover half the cost of a concert. You didn't really think Judy and
Mickey simply said: "Look! A barn! Let's get the gang and put on a show,"
did you? It was MGM's huge organization and bankroll opening those barn doors. GET INVOLVED.
Who we are
Forte is a 24-voice chamber ensemble with a unique sound, eclectic and often theatrical presentation. It is without doubt one on Toronto's best kept musical secrets.
Born out of the LGBT choral movement of the 80's and 90's, Forte has the inherent joy of musical theatre and the sincere belief in the universal music of the soul. More information can be found under ABOUT US.
